Sky City Hotel is an award winning four-star hotel in Dhaka. It was founded by two NRB investors from the UK. The hotel’s vision was driven by Mr Suhel Khan who was inspired by his late uncle – the founder of Capital Hotel Dhaka. Mr Suhel along with his cousin Mr Shawkath Ali Khan successfully built a number of hospitality and trading businesses across Europe and over the past 40 years expanded their business network to America and Asia. As part of their desire to give back to their motherland by contributing to Bangladesh’s economic development and creating jobs for local people, Sky City Hotel was officially opened in 2017 under their leadership, with the support & partnership of family members. The hotel’s ethos is based on steadfast commitment to provide premium facilities and excellent service standards for all its guests

4 months agoThis is our second night at this wonderful little hotel, and I wanted to wait a day before writing my review. I would describe it as a charming boutique hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The reception team and overall staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. We booked a two-person room, and it was spotless. The hotel’s central location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Rama Park, Bailey Road, and the shopping street. After a great day out visiting friends and sightseeing, we decided to try the hotel’s restaurant downstairs—and it exceeded our expectations!I had the famous Chittagong Black Beef, which was absolutely mouthwatering. I requested it to be not too spicy, and it was prepared perfectly. Breakfast the next morning was a delightful mix of European and local options. The French toast and omelet were both spot on.Later, I treated myself to a sports massage at the Imperial Thai Spa. The spa is clean, well-maintained, and staffed with friendly professionals. Jessie, my masseuse, did a great job with a relaxing massage that was perfect after a long day of walking. In the evening, we visited the rooftop sky bar (non-alcoholic) and enjoyed their incredible BBQ menu. The ambiance was lovely and made for a relaxing end to the day.The hotel staff truly goes above and beyond. They helped us with local travel tips and were very responsive to all our needs. Even when I lost my card and had to pay 500 TK for a replacement, the process was quick and hassle-free.This hotel feels like a home away from home. It’s an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Tomorrow, I plan to try out the café and cakes in the reception area. I am so glad I chose this place after reading positive reviews and receiving a recommendation.I’m here for a documentary research project and will be traveling back and forth in the future—and this is definitely going to be my go-to spot. Thank you to the amazing team for making my stay so enjoyableForgot to mention the pick up from the airport to the hotel was smooth and great.

4 months agoVery bad experience in terms of staff's behavior. The location is not that great . Seems very overpriced compared to what it offers . They call it 4 star hotel but this is a 2 star hotel indeed. Rooms are not sound proof and thus continuous noise coming from the adjacent busy road . Washroom are not that clean . Restaurants does not seem to maintain proper hygiene . Staff's counting money at cash counters and coming to serve food without cleaning hand. They should be fined for not maintaining proper cleanliness. Banging sound of other room doors . This is really not a hotel rather a guesthouse. I will not visit here again and won't recommend this to anyone.
