I recently stayed at The Cox Today, one of the most talked-about hotels in Cox’s Bazar. While the hotel presents itself as a 5-star property, my experience was somewhat mixed. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made a positive difference, and the complimentary breakfast was decent, although the variety of dishes was limited compared to other hotels in the area. However, several things fell short of expectations. The washroom amenities were lacking no hand wash, no comb, and poor ventilation without any air freshener. There was no prayer mat in the room until we specifically asked for one. The TV was not a smart TV, which felt outdated for a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Due to the rain, the floor remained damp, making the room feel quite uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel has potential, but without improvements in room facilities and more attention to detail, their reputation could suffer. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively, as a few thoughtful upgrades could truly align their services with the 5-star experience they advertise.
The room was great. The bedsheets, pillows, towels were clean. The bathroom was clean as well. AC, Kettle, lights— all of them were working fine. The complimentary breakfast was tasty. I have issues with Cafe 71 tho, their service is extremely slow
Hotel The Cox Today offers a comfortable stay with spacious rooms, modern amenities, and friendly staff. The on-site facilities, including a pool and fitness center, enhance the experience. While service can be slow during peak times, the overall quality, cleanliness, and value make it a great choice for travelers.
This is an old property.
The breakfast arrangement is terrible. Many tourists as well as us had to wait to find a table. They arrange breakfast at a underground restaurant, which looks like old model weeding hall. Food variety and tastes are very poor.
Location, not beachfront and this is the only hotel on that road. The architecture of the hotel exterior is great, but when you enter you will be disappointed as find every setup looks old.
Pool, they have a nice pool outside.
Stayed at The Cox Today and was honestly disappointed.
The room was spacious, but being on the 6th floor with no balcony was inconvenient.
The service was poor—had to request hand wash and the hair dryer didn’t work.
The view was nothing special either.
The only positive was the complimentary breakfast, which was good.
Considering it's a 5-star hotel, expected much more.
Definitely not worth the price.
